HOW TO VOLUNTEER AT CHUO 89.1 FM
Here is your opportunity to become involved in Ottawa’s ONLY bilingual Campus and Community Radio Station CHUO 89.1 FM.
Once you’ve filled out CHUO’s volunteer form, we ask that you book an interview with a member of our staff. You can do this through our volunteer portal once you’ve created an account (link provided in Step 1) by clicking the “Sign Up” tab at the top of the page.
If your application to volunteer at CHUO is accepted, we’ll ask you to come in for an orientation session! Once you’ve been properly oriented as a new volunteer, your first responsibility is to contribute to daily life at the station through general volunteer work – this is your chance to see CHUO in action! You might end up sorting CD’s in the music library, reviewing programs, making posters, translation, voicing ads, scripting station IDs and a plethora of other tasks! We have many different departments and you can volunteer in all of them and find out what you like doing the best!
