Mayfair Theatre hosts Ottawa’s biggest, best and coolest Oscar Party Sunday, Feb 26!

Media are invited to join us for the evening, and meet Ottawa’s biggest film fans. This year, the biggest, best and coolest Oscar party in Ottawa takes place at the Mayfair Theatre! Walk the red carpet, enjoy fit-for-a-star refreshments and watch as motion picture history unfolds where it’s supposed to — on the big screen!
The live telecast of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards begins at 8 pm and runs until midnight, Feb. 26 at the Mayfair Theatre, 1074 Bank St. (at Sunnyside).
The event is co-presented by CKCU FM, and is FREE FOR MAYFAIR MEMBERS.
The bad news is that only members will be admitted, and we’re expecting a capacity crowd, so film-lovers are encouraged to arrive early!
The good news is that Mayfair Theatre annual memberships are available up to and on the evening of the party, for only $10.
WAIT, THERE’S MORE? YES! CHEAP BEER AND WINE!
The Oscars telecast is a licensed event, and economically priced beer and wine will be on sale, along with the Mayfair’s regular selection of delectable popcorn, beverages and other treats.
And to show our members how much we love you (we really love you!), we’re planning a variety of special events for the evening. We will be providing ballots for those who like to keep score, and giving prizes for those who guess the most winners correctly.
So slip into your best gown or tux and join us at the Mayfair Theatre for Hollywood’s biggest night!
